Let's go to Washington!

It’s 24 degree centigrade, a bright sunny day in Washington & it’s too windy.Perfect day for me to explore.I'm enjoying my Iced Green Tea Matcha(can't get enough of this, just try this, really)followed by iced latte(weird combination). It’s my 3rd time here but I’m still excited as the last two times the city was shut like completely(especially the first time as it was Christmas & second time as it was President Trump’s Inauguration so not much activity was on).But of course, nothing’s going to stop me from exploring so I went out the 1st time.
(P.S. This blog is a compilation of all my visits to Washington except the 2nd visit as I got the wrong shoe bag, that's just being me.)

I don’t have to give any information about the place as anyone can google it but I’ll definitely be sharing my experience & will give some recommendations.

Even if you have/haven’t visited this place, there’s a curiosity(thanks to the movies) to see the White House, Lincoln Memorial, US Capitol building.Well, let's get straight into it.

A 15-minute train ride from Tysons Corner station, Leesburg plus 15-minute walk is where you will find the Lincoln Memorial.Wasinthington Monument & the Capitol Building is exactly in a row, clearly visible from the memorial.

The White House is 10-15 minute walk from the memorial.I recommend walking to all these places taking in the aura of these famous places.(sorry couldn't get pictures of the White House as it was too far & dark in the evening so couldn't get a shot)

Sadly the shops were closed due to Christmas so couldn't get to munch on anything while exploring but anyways keeping my appetite discussion away, let's move on.

Well staying connected to the internet is very important for all of us especially when witnessing national monuments or the capital of the United States itself. However, T-mobile offers some good deals for travellers to the states. You can certainly browse through their plans as they have something for everyone.I bought a 30$ plan which was enough for a day, however its validity is for 21 days & then it expires.

A 5-minute drive to the nearest CVS is where I found my happiness as I bought makeup.
Yes, I love makeup like any other girl and I love experimenting with different products.Truly Big Shot mascara by Maybelline is awesome. It's quite comparable to my Dior showgirl mascara.Since I get the same quality, the Maybelline Big Shot is the one I'll reach for more considering its drugstore price(Let me know if you want an in-depth makeup tutorial using this mascara or any other product or maybe what makeup does cabin crew wear? if you are curious).

How can I not mention Sephora. The nearest one is available in Tysons Corner 2 Mall.
(P.S. make sure to tell the driver the correct one as there is Tysons Corner Galleria & Tysons Corner 1 as well & clearly all are different.)

To end my tiresome yet adventurous day I hopped into an Indian restaurant, Bombay Tandoor in Tysons Corner, Leesburg. This place is always crowded.Being a foodie it's difficult to give thumbs down to any kind of meal or cuisine but whatever I ordered tasted delicious.Saag Paneer, Kadhai Chicken, Vegetable Biryani, Gulab Jamun everything was excellent.

So if you are a sucker for food just like me you will enjoy this place for sure.Booking a table beforehand is much better & Open Table app works great for it(I was lucky enough to bump into my colleagues at the restaurant who were already there otherwise I almost decided to leave as there was no table free.
Yes I finished everything in my plate.
I've been here twice & would definitely visit again in future.Well with that it's a wrap & I'll definitely try to incorporate more pictures as I travel to different destinations or add more posts.See you on my next destination.Chao!!
